Our Sunday College Mass is the key community gathering for the Newman Catholic Center. Students from Cal Poly and Cuesta College, as well as families from San Luis Obispo, come to our Sunday Mass. Mass is held at Nativity of Our Lady, a local Catholic parish near Bishop’s Peak. Mass starts at 6:00 PM every Sunday during the regular Cal Poly academic year. There is no mass during the summer and academic holidays. All are welcome to join us for this celebration.
Ministries
A number of ministries help the community’s celebration of mass. Our music ministry is very active and is always looking for faithful, servant musicians and singers who feel called by God to serve the community. Other ministries include being a lector, usher, Eucharistic minister, and altar server. For more information go to our ministries section.
Get a Ride to Mass
Newman operates a car pool system for students who live on Cal Poly campus.
We pick up at 5:45 p.m. every Sunday during the regular Cal Poly academic year.
Our pick up locations will be:
1. VG’s Cafe on Deer Road
2. In front of Cerro Vista Sign on Cerro Vista Circle
3. Poly Canyon Village: Commercial Loading Lane in front of Buena Vista 171B
